SLOGAN
Serge (Gainsbourg) is a hip and successful film director who leaves his pregnant wife to attend the annual advertising awards festival in Venice, and enters into a passionate affair with a young British woman (Jane Birkin). This sexy satire formed the background for one of the swinging sixties' most famous real-life romances.
During the rehearsals for Pierre Grimblat's "Slogan", Serge Gainsbourg met the woman who would forever change his professional and personal life: Jane Birkin. They sang together for the first time on the film's theme-song, "The Slogan Song". After which, they recorded their version of "Je t'aime moi non plus". The song became a huge success and set the 70's on fire. Together, they lived out one of the most beautiful love stories ever. Featuring music by Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin
"This was the first film where a director finally had me act as myself, just as I am!" - Serge Gainsbourg
"If it hadn't been for 'Slogan', I would never have came to France, would never have met Serge, and I would never have had the career in France that I've had. One never can tell what fate will bring, but as for me, I know for sure it would've been a heck of a lot less fun!" - Jane Birkin
"This film is the child of pop-art and the Pill." - L'Express
"Grimblat has ten ideas going on per minute." - France Soir

THE VOYEUR (L'Uomo Che Guarde)
The Voyeur, based on the famous erotic novel (L'uomo che guarda) by Alberto Moravia, tells the story of Eduardo "Dodo," who in public is a professor of French literature but in private a desperately lovesick cuckold, married to the ever-more-elusive Silvia. His life shattered, he becomes an onlooker rather than a participant in life. Those around him, though, seem to be living life to the fullest: his bedridden father has a scantily clad nurse and a series of lady friends; his students have unending sexual fun, sometimes in his presence; and even the public beach has become an orgy ground. Through a series of small revelations, Dodo slowly comes to realize who his rival is. The discovery, rather than destroying his marriage, strengthens and renews it.
Erotic filmmaker Tinto Brass is here at the height of his powers, crafting an unforgettable fable of sexual desire. The music by Riz Ortolani is seductive, the sets and designs are sumptuous, and the photography is as stunning Hitchcock's. The lead performers, Francesco Casale and Katarina Vasilissa (a Polish photomodel) are both eye-catching. Cult Epics hereby presents English Producer’s Cut.

| BLACK NIGHT (NUIT NOIRE)
Oscar, a conservator at the Natural Sciences Museum, passes the days exercising his passion for studying insects; if only there still were days. As long as people can remember, the sun only releases a few pathetic rays for fifteen seconds before noon. The rest of the time, the world is plunged into a night without end, a permanent eclipse. Coming home after work, Oscar finds an African woman in his bed. Suffering from a mysterious and incurable disease, she seems to have come to his place to die. Trapped between desire and repulsion, Oscar gradually abandons his life to terrifying phantoms.
The long awaited feature length debut film of talented short filmmaker Olivier Smolders (see also Spiritual Exercises DVD), BLACK NIGHT is mysterious, ghostly, technically impeccable, and continuously bathed in a magical, surreal light.
“between Kafka, David Lynch and Tintin in the Congo, a vertigo in the subconscious” – J.A.

VINTAGE EROTICA ANNO 1960
Cult Epics is delighted to present the last compilation in its series of Vintage Erotic Films. Shortly before the rise of mainstream pornography in the USA, the French and other Europeans produced a series of erotic loops for the theatres with a feeling of private and sleazy allure. The 1960s was a new period in music, fashion and film, which transcends to these erotic timepieces. This DVD shows a variety of amateur footage of sexual interaction between couples, groups, lesbians, hipsters and mods, offering a stimulating visual experience.

VINTAGE EROTICA COLLECTION ANNO 1920-1960
(5-Disc Box Set)
Artists have explored the erotic image since the beginning of time. On the walls of caves, on Hindu temples, in ancient scrolls, humans have celebrated the sexual act. Cinema is no stranger to eroticism, but there is a mistaken belief that erotic cinema is an invention of the past forty years. In order to dispel this myth we present this archive of erotic images captured by our “grandfather's camera”, in a 5-Disc Box Set.

CINEMA OF DEATH
Underground Cinema first appeared in the 1960s with groundbreaking works by filmmakers as Kenneth Anger, Stan Brakhage and Andy Warhol, whose films dealt with provocative subjects such as politics, sex, magic and death. CINEMA OF DEATH compiles some of the most recent extreme films made, featuring raw, poetic, explosive images that will enter into and linger in the subconscious.
ADORATION (Olivier Smolders, Belgium/1987) is the true story of a Japanese man’s love crazed obsession for a woman, which ends in cannibalism. DISLANDIA (Brian M. Viveros, USA/2005), a disturbing observance of Lindsey – a child existing in an indistinguishable time and place, haunted by surrealist visions. PIG (Nico B, USA/1999), a poetic film in which we see the subconscious of a killer transform into abstract forms and material, all deriving from his suffering and desperation. Featuring Rozz Williams (Christian Death). HOLLYWOOD BABYLON (Nico B, USA/2000), an homage to Kenneth Anger’s Hollywood Babylon, shot at the Museum of Death, Ca. LE POEM (Bogdan Borkowski, France/1986), an actual autopsy of a human body accompanied by the poem ‘The Drunken Boat’ by Arthur Rimbaud.

UN CHANT D’AMOUR (2 Disc Limited Edition)
Cult Epics is proud to present Jean Genet’s rarely seen semi-pornographic film UN CHANT D’AMOUR. Originally made for Parisian gay porn collectors in 1950, the film is visually reminiscent of Jean Cocteau’s Blood of a Poet, Belle et la Bete and Kenneth Anger’s Fireworks. The story, set in a prison with three main characters, a guard and two prisoners, is a voyeuristic, confrontational, poetic masterpiece. Despite all elements of his writings being present, Genet actually denounced the making of this film when he became popular as a novelist. Forbidden in France upon its release, and only available in the US in censored form and through underground distribution, UN CHANT D’AMOUR is now released from its obscurity and is presented in its complete version, with a new transfer.

THE TINTO BRASS COLLECTION Volume I (Deluxe Box Set)
Infamous for his work on Caligula, it may come as a surprise that Tinto Brass is noted for the warmth, affection, and gentle humor of most of his other films. Here are three of his most popular erotic works, the beautiful and complex tale of The Key, the charming and lyrical Miranda, and the erotic comedy of All Ladies Do It. Each is presented in their complete and uncut versions.

THE TINTO BRASS COLLECTION Volume II (Deluxe Box Set)
Three of the most delightful, erotic comedies of recent years. Frivolous Lola (Monella), a charming story of amorous adventures in an idyllic country village in the late 1950s. Cheeky! (Transgredire) follows a young Italian womans journey to London for a course in English, which quickly turns into a full-immersion course in sex. And last, to round out the package, six couples share their excitement with us in Private (Fallo!). Tinto Brass (Caligula), continues his longstanding series of erotic cinema, demonstrating that extramarital affairs and jealousy are not necessarily cause for conflict and divorce, but rather, ingredients to heighten our love lives.

"Every fan of Bettie Page must see this film. Essential viewing and great fun!" - Steve Brewster (President of the Bettie Scouts of America fan club)
Bettie Page was America's favorite pin-up model of the 1950s, and achieved her greatest success as Playboy's January 1955 centerfold. It was her association with fetish photographer and filmmaker Irving Klaw, however, that would change her life forever and establish the cult icon status she enjoys to this day.
Bettie Page - Dark Angel recalls, in episodes, her last three years as a pin-up queen and faithfully recreates in Klaw's original style many of her now classic bondage film performances that were destroyed long ago.
Disc Two of this Limited Edition includes one hour of original footage featuring Paige Richards posing nude in Bettie Page style, for legendary pin-up photographer Bunny Yeager.
