ZERO KILLED

CONTROVERSIAL DOCUMENTARY FILM ABOUT THE MOST DISCUSSED TOPIC IN THE NEWS!

If someone murdered a person you love, how would you feel about it? Are soldiers murderers? Should torture be legalized? How to define good and evil? Since 1996 film director Michal Kosakowski has been asking people with different backgrounds about their murder fantasies. He offered them the chance to stage their fantasies as short films. The only condition was that they had to act in these films themselves, either as victims or perpetrators. More than a decade later, Kosakowski asked them about their emotions during their acts of murder or victimization, and interviewed them about current social topics such as revenge, torture, war, terrorism, massacres, media, domestic violence, the death penalty, suicide etc.

ZERO KILLED is an unconventional hybrid of feature film and documentary, that makes viewers question their personal and social positions concerning ethical and moral values and taboos.

"More disturbing in a way than viewing a violent horror film"
-BlackSpotHorror.com)

"People think about murder, it’s a fact and this documentary proves it"
-FilmBizarro.com

"A disturbing glimpse into the darkest abyss of the human psyche"
-TrashCity.org

"Without a doubt a powerful movie"
-Socyberty.com

"Incredibly fascinating and chilling"

PIG/1334 (BD/DVD COMBO)

PIG (1998), a film depicting the relationship between a killer (Rozz Williams) and his victim (James Hollan), where all lines are crossed, blending fantasy and reality, in a transformation of the subconscious mind of a killer, graphically showing the manifestation of itself into abstract forms and material, all deriving from his suffering and desperation.

1334 (2011), a ghost story that reveals the haunting disturbances that began to plague the ones left behind following the completion of PIG and the death of R.W., where reality turns into darkness, with the effect upon no return.

PIG/1334 (directed by Nico B) are an exploration of the subconscious thru underground film making. PIG was the last project of Rozz Williams (who died 4.1.1998), formerly known from the rock group Christian Death among others. R.W. spoke of the film as a form of exorcism & transition of his personal demons. 1334 was inspired by true occurrences.

Betty Page Dark Angel Widescreen Version

BETTIE PAGE DARK ANGEL (WIDESCREEN)

Bettie Page was America’s favorite and most photographed pin-up model of the 1950s, and achieved her greatest success as Playboy’s January 1955 centerfold.
It was however her association with fetish photographer Irving Klaw, that would change her life forever and established the cult icon status she achieved to this day.

Bettie Page Dark Angel recalls in episodes, her last three years a pin up queen, her mysterious disappearance and faithfully recreates in Irving Klaw’s original style, many of her now lost classic bondage films.

Radley Metzger's The Lickerish Quartet

THE LICKERISH QUARTET

An aristocratic family becomes obsessed with a striking young blond actress (Silvano Venturelli “Camille 2000”) while watching her in what appears to be a crude, silent stag film. After a visit to a local carnival they meet the girl in person and invite her back to their lavish mansion (the Castle of Balsorano in Italy’s Abruzzi Mountains.) The blonde visitor takes turns seducing the family members, where she unlocks each of their fantasies, family secrets and hidden desires.

The Lickerish Quartet is Radley Metzger’s magnum opus, a delirious surreal erotic fantasy, stylish and elegant.

The Guernica Tree

THE GUERNICA TREE

Guernica is both a town that was leveled in a night of horror during World War II and an image, captured in paint by Pablo Picasso and on film by renegade surrealist Fernando Arrabal. The Guernica Tree is Arrabal’s most unflinching and personal film. It is a testimony to the horrors of war, the absurd chaos of life turned upside down and the ache of love. The fictional town of Villa Romero is the set upon which the events of Spain’s civil war play out. Villa Romero is home to Vandale (Mariangela Melato) a witch, count Cerralbo (Bento Urago) a powerless land baron, and his four sons. Three of Cerralbo’s sons are ruthless sadists who pillage the countryside, but the fourth, Goya (ron Faber), is an artist challenging authority and the church. When Vandale and Goya fall in love they become embroiled in the chaos of war and more ever closer to the doom that awaits in Guernica. The Guernica Tree is a wrenching experience, a headlong exploration of war and humanity. It is a film of shocking power and brutal design and is not recommended for the faint of heart. This is Guernica as only Arrabal can show it.

The Voyeur - Special Edition

THE VOYEUR (SPECIAL EDITION)

The Voyeur, based on the famous erotic novel (L'uoma che guarda) by Alberto Moravia, tells the story of Eduardo "Dodo", who in public is a professor of French literature but in private a desperately lovesick cuckold, married to the ever-more-elusive Silvia. His life shattered, he becomes an onlooker rather than a participant in life. Those around him, though, seem to be living life to the fullest: His bedridden father has a scantily clad nurse and a series of lady friends; his students have unending sexual fun, sometimes in his presence; and even the public beach has become an orgy ground. Through a series of small revelations, Dodo slowly comes to realize who his rival is. The discovery, rather than destroying his marriage, strengthens and renews it.

Erotic filmmaker Tinto Brass is here at the height of his powers, crafting an unforgettable fable of sexual desire. The music by Riz Ortolani is seductive, the sets and designs are sumptuous, and the photography is as stunning as Hitchcock's. The lead performers, Francesco Casale and Katarina Vasilisa (a Polish photomodel) are both eye-catching.

CAR CEMETERY (LE CIMETIERE DES VOITURES)

Combining punk rock and post-apocalyptic mayhem, Arrabal's outrageous adaptation of his infamous 1958 stage play is a gallows-humor romp in a wretched dystopia. The inhabitants of a junkyard at the edge of a nuclear crater live hand to mouth all the while being hounded by authorities from a corrupt government. Among them is Emanou, a rock star agitator doomed to betrayal by one of his own. A raucous and absurd retelling of the Christ story with thugs, murderers, pimps and punks, Car Cemetery is one of Fernando Arrabal's most outrageous and little seen films.

Attraction a Film by Tinto Brass

ATTRACTION (NEROSUBIANCO)

A Psychedelic Pop Art Film by Tinto Brass

One of the great taboo-smashers of the late '60s, directed by Tinto Brass, featuring interracial affairs, anti-Vietnam statements, violence versus sex. ATTRACTION (NEROSUBIANCO) will stun anyone expecting a standard softcore European sex flick as released originally in the US thru Radley Metzger's Audubon Films under the title THE ARTFUL PENETRATION OF BARBARA, then brace yourself for a whirlwind trip with a married woman (Anita Sanders) whose journey through the psychedelic English youth scene awakens her to the carnal offerings of an African-American man (Terry Carter), all set to by a searing soundtrack by FREEDOM, a tripped-out group formed from the remnants of PROCAL HARUM. Nearly plotless and often improvised, this undiscovered cult film distinctive tone and editing scheme anticipated everything in the following year releases of Nicolas Roeg PERFORMANCE, Kubrick's A CLOCKWORK ORANGE to our current post-MTV mindsets. Attraction succeeds not just as a series of kick-ass psych-rock clips, but as an abstract, dazzling expression of cinematic art.

Cult Epics presents Radley Metzger's rare (16mm) print of Attraction aka Black on White, the first film in a series of Radley Metzger presents.

The Howl a Film by Tinto Brass

THE HOWL (L'URLO)

The Howl is a true surrealist cult classic, filled with eye-shattering imagery, visual jokes, impossible characters, riotous comedy, and punk rock music well before its time. A young bride escapes her wedding ceremony with a stranger and together they set off on an epic journey though increasingly bizarre lands. They encounter talking animals and mournful exhibitionists, converse with a discoursing rock, journey through a surrealist's psychedelic hotel, instigate a prison riot, escape from naked cannibals living in a tree and battle a wind-up midget dictator! Featuring the legendary Tina Aumont (Casanova) as the bride and Italy's great clown Luigi Proietti as her make-shift partner, The Howl challenges authority and convention in the true anarchist spirit of the 1960s. Filmmaker Tinto Brass, famous for his later erotica, here presents one of the greatest works of the era - along with A Clock Work Orange, a film he was asked to direct, but instead made The Howl; one of the strangest films ever!

Cult Epics presents the rare, original version of The Howl, taken directly from Tinto Brass's personal print.

Deadly Sweet a Film by Tinto Brass

DEADLY SWEET (COL CUORE IN GOLA)

Starring 17-year-old beauty-contest winner Ewa Aulin (CANDY), and Jean-Louis Trintignant (A MAN AND A WOMAN), Deadly Sweet is a most unusual crime story. In the film, a French actor finds his business contact lying murdered on the floor. Rather than call the police, he decides to protect the young woman at the scene and nail down the true killers, which puts him on a collision course with the London underworld. Deadly Sweet leads us through a mind-bending series of pop-art visuals by renowned erotic cartoonist GUIDO CREPAX, split screens, triple split screens, and the seductive rock score by Armando Trovajoli. Bestselling filmmaker, Tinto Brass, who later gained fame for his soft-core erotica, wrote the screenplay in 1967, loosely adapted from a novel by Sergio Donati, as an outrageous attempt to turn the crime genre on its head. It can be said that with this film, Cinema Fumetti (comic-book movies) was invented prior to the more known DANGER: DIABOLIK and BARBARELLA.

Cult Epics is proud to present Deadly Sweet (aka Heart in his Mouth), a rare giallo thriller unseen since its initial theatrical release (1967), whose lead actors went on to star in DEAD LAID AN EGG, a year after.

Jean Genet's Un Chant D'Amour

JEAN GENET'S UN CHANT D'AMOUR

Cult Epics is proud to present Jean Genet's Un Chant D'Amour, the only film made by the French novelist Jean Genet. Visually reminiscent of Jean Cocteau's Blood of a Poet, Belle et la Bete and Kenneth Anger's Fireworks. The story, set in a prison with three main characters, a guard and two prisoners, is a voyeuristic, confrontational, poetic masterpiece. Forbidden in France upon its release, and only available in the US in censored form and through underground distribution, UN CHANT D'AMOUR is now released from its obscurity and is presented in its complete version on DVD, together with an in-depth Documentary, GENET.

"A work of enormous power, arguably the greatest film made by an author, fully transforming his literary and spiritual vision, in an original work conceived for the screen, into cinema."
- J. Clarkmedia.com
